It has been so long since last I felt
your fingertips tracing my pages,
cascading shivers across my spine.
I have missed your smile,
and the way your laugh
reaches your eyes;
I would do anything
to kiss your happiness.
Stay awhile, please,
let me calm your racing mind, think
of me as the moon, pulling
your cool waves of calamity
into tides.
I will listen, and wrap up
your worries like gifts
and cradle them close until
they dissolve at sunrise.

Stop and stay please,
Do not glance to the other pages, allow me
to savour the memory of your face, tuck it away
for a rainy day, and breathe a sigh
of incandescent happiness.
I guess this is goodbye dear reader,
