Times change, and so do we. This Trinity, Cherwell will move to a fortnightly magazine format, starting on Friday 1st May.

There will still be news, though longer in form and deeper in analysis. All the usual sections will be there, too, refreshed and ready for a new era. And we couldn’t wish for a better staff to do this with.

Cherwell magazine will be available for free in PDF format on the website, though there will be a limited print run on an individual subscription basis. Please email [email protected] for details, if interested.

Cherwell has thrived for 100 years. The changes for next term are just another step down the path. Here’s to the next century…

David Alexander and Tilly Walters

Cherwell Editors, Trinity Term 2020

We’re always accepting pitches, and our sections regularly put out commissions.

For Cherwell, maintaining editorial independence is vital. We are run entirely by and for students. To ensure independence, we receive no funding from the University and are reliant on obtaining other income, such as advertisements. Due to the current global situation, such sources are being limited significantly and we anticipate a tough time ahead – for us and fellow student journalists across the country.

So, if you can, please consider donating. We really appreciate any support you’re able to provide; it’ll all go towards helping with our running costs. Even if you can't support us monetarily, please consider sharing articles with friends, families, colleagues - it all helps!

Thank you!
