Isobel Priest found "safe", police confirm

St John’s student Isobel Priest has been found “safe”, forty eight hours after her disappearance.

Andy Riddles posted on the Facebook group Overheard at Oxford Uni, “Isobel has been found safe, please spread the word”, at around 7.30 this morning.

He added, “Thank you so much everyone for your support, you helped brighten a dark few days.”

Anna Spearing-Ewyn had posted on the group on Friday evening asking, “If anyone has seen or heard from Isobel Priest at all in the last two days please get in touch with myself or Andrew Riddles immediately.”

Meanwhile, OUSU President Louis Trup had sent round an urgent email to students after midnight on Saturday morning, telling them to contact police if they had any information about her whereabouts.

Police had also issued an appeal for her whereabouts shortly after midnight. However, at around 10.30am Thames Valley Police tweeted, “Thanks to everyone who retweeted our appeal to find missing student Isobel Priest from #Oxford. We’re happy to report she’s been found safe.”
