Join the team Apply now for Michaelmas 2008Trinity Term 2008 Cherwell staff

We've had a great term at Cherwell - our new website is up-and-running, we've broken some fantastic stories and the newspaper looks great.

Editor (Online)

As Editor (Online), you will be editorially responsible for the content and design of cherwell.org. You will liaise with the Editor-in-Chief and Editors (Print) week-by-week to decide how to divide content up between the two editions - the EiC will ensure this is done fairly and assist with organising online-exclusive content where necessary. You will be responsible for training section editors on how to upload content, and will be responsible for checking and approving articles as they are uploaded. You will liaise with the Video Editor to ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner and are uploaded correctly, as well as embedding into articles where necessary. You will be free to pursue new online-exclusive initiatives such as a weekly newsletter, podcasts, video projects etc. Section Editors and Deputy Section Editors have joint print and online roles, and you will need to meet regularly to ensure they are dividing their efforts accordingly. You also have the freedom to cover reactive news items, although where possible these should be copy-checked by another senior editorial member before posting.
